the crepe cup
we got together for brunch at creme de la crepe, a true french cafe at hermosa beach.
lucky for us, it happened to be the day of the world cup championship between italy and france. the place was sidewalk seating only. the inside of the cafe was packed with fans (french, of course) watching a huge tv.
we shared the nordique (smoked salmon, jack cheese, fresh tomatoes with a dill lemon sauce) and the normandie (goat cheese, spinach, prosciutto, grilled onions and sour cream).
the teeny crock of french onion soup was adorable.
so was our little sweet-toothed friend who gobbled up the caroline crepe (fresh strawberries, bananas, melted nutella and vanilla ice cream)! tres bien. ahh.
