weekend in a nutshell, plus --
brioche french toast with fresh pineapple, toasted coconut, and whipped cream.
a baked egg dish with chorizo, gruyere, tortilla, roasted bell peppers that would've benefitted from an extra egg or two, but was still decent.
it was a lovely little baby shower get-together for jennie (baby bun #2!) at square one. great conversation, cozy spot, and really killer breakfast, the best i've had in a long, long time.

eagle rock cock
this little guy is just 6 months old and survived by running away from his owner (who was going to eat him) and living with the neighborhood dogs (who think he's an overgrown sparrow). the way he was staring oddly reminded me of feathers mcgraw from 'wallace and gromit'. what a tough bird.
